The second is to go to Salzburg, Lastenstrasse and buy a ticket to Budapest, Könyves Kálmán körút or to Budapest, Kelenföld vasútállomás Etele tér. While you can buy your ticket at the station, it’s best to purchase them in advance. The earliest bus is at 6:15 AM, and the last bus is at 5:22, with 2 busses leaving every 2 hours and after 12 pm there is only 2 last busses at 5:22 pm. To travel by plane, you need to get to Salzburg Airport (SZG). As usual with flights, you’ll want to buy your tickets in advance. There are no direct flights from Salzburg to Budapest and the fastest flight takes 2 hours 30 minutes (€618). The earliest flight departs at 6:15 am and the last flight departs at 9:20 pm. The plane tickets cost from €362 to €668 for the on average 6 hours flight from Salzburg to Budapest.
