If you’re travelling from Krakow to Warsaw, you have several travel options. For travelers on a budget, the bus is the cheapest way to travel from Krakow to Warsaw. The train from Krakow to Budapest is operated by Polish Railways Intercity Transfers, with train tickets from Krakow to Warsaw costing 30 EUR on average. The distance from Krakow to Warsaw is about 292 km. Trains have bathrooms on board, and usually offer a dining car. 

Krakow to Warsaw by bus

There are two main bus companies that provide service from Krakow to Warsaw for as little as 3 EUR, Flixbus and Ecolines. All busses leave from Krakow’s main station, Dworzec Autobusowy, but from there you can choose to go to a few different stations in Warsaw including Plac Defilad, Dworzec Autobusowy Metro Mlociny, Metro Wilanowska, and Warsaw Dw. Zachodni. No matter which station in Warsaw you choose, the 292 km journey takes about 4 and a half hours by bus. Busses depart every hour from Krakow, the earliest train leaving at 12:05 AM and the last one departing at 6:10 PM. You can buy your tickets at the station, although it's recommended to get these online in advance. All options offer direct service from Krakow to Warsaw.

Krakow to Warsaw by flight

To travel by plane, you need to get to John Paul 2 International airport in Krakow. As usual with flights, you’ll want to buy your tickets in advance. For travelling such a short distance, only direct flights make sense. The plane tickets cost around €50 for the 55 minute flight from Krakow to Warsaw, so it is more expensive than taking a bus or a train and doesn’t save you too much time if you arrive at the airport 2 hours before the flight, as recommended.
